The concept for The Blend Bay of Plenty came from my time hosting shows on 99.5 The Blend, a Baltimore-based Rock and Alternative internet radio station. 99.5 The Blend was a small home-operated internet-based rock and alternative station that had the ability to be listen from anywhere in the world via its online streams from Baltimore, MD, by Dillon Skovron in 2014. Alt45 was created by Dillon in 2016 as a rebrand of 99.5 The Blend. A year later, Dillon dropped radio for good and went on to play hockey for the Raunchy Roosters.
