Randy Parker was first introduced to radio broadcasting in 1979 by John Rivas aka "Mr. Magic" while he was shopping for 12" records for an upcoming birthday party at Jocko's Lounge in Brooklyn, NY. John invited Randy to visit him at New York public-access radio station, WHBI aka WNWK during John's broadcast. Randy began as an independent program producer at 105.9 FM WHBI in New York with a 30-minute program called, "The Weekend Traffic Jam". Months later, Randy met general manager, Norman Prusslin at 90.1 FM WUSB Stony Brook, NY in 1980 who convince Randy to take the FCC examine to get his broadcast license so he could produce programming for 90.1 FM. One day, after a WBLS Sure Shots basketball game at Stony Brook University, Randy was introduced to Vaughn Harper and Ken "Spider" Webb of WBLS fame and later was interviewed for an on-air position by Frankie Crocker who was the station's Program Director. Unfortunately, Randy did not get the position and as new graduate of Printing Trades School, he ended up working in the Offset printing industry following in his dad's footsteps. Later, during the 1990's Randy was introduced to AM 1430 WNJR, a brokered station located in North New Jersey, owned by Douglas Broadcasting of Palo Alto, CA. Watch out! The redevelopment of the "Weekend Traffic Jam" was back and in full effect and one day the stations sales manager reported Randy's program got pick-up in an Arbitron report showing a 1.2 market share which was huge for the struggling AM 1430 WNJR station during this time period. Years after the demise of AM 1430 WNJR, via today’s technology and digital processing, WNJR-Radio .Com was founded by Randy Parker in December 2009 and the band plays on. – True Mathematics

What could be the reason there is no sound?

1. Make sure your speakers and the media player are not muted :) Not an uncommon problem ;)
2. Please try again in another browser, preferably Chrome, Firefox and when using a windows media player option Internet Explorer.
3. Try another stream type clicking: windows media player or external player as alternative
4. Be patient, some radiostations load within 10-20 seconds due to high traffic issues.
5. If you do not have any flash player we automatically load the second best player, so again be patient.
6. If the stream doesn't start automatically please click the play button or the mp3 option on the right, please retry 1,2 or 3 times. Most of the times this works.
7. If you are using a windows media player, this will mostly only work in Internet Explorer.
8. A radiostation might be temporarily unavailable due to several reasons. If your favorite station is not working right now, please try again in a few moments.
9. The media player isn't showing/working in your browser, check below what you can do about it
10. Try another computer or device (tablet, phone etc).
11. Some radiostations have limited rights for international broadcasting. Some stations only broadcast in their own country. For example BBC in the UK and lots of stations in the US. If you really want to listen use a proxy server from that specific country to solve this problem.

Stream keeps on buffering
In Windows Media Player you can improve this. Go to Extra, Options, and then tab performance to extend the netwerkbuffer to 15 seconds.
