*10 Oct 2010. It started as a radio wandering on fm as well as on web radios and after prompts of listening friends we decided to start our own radio in our first studio in Piraeus. Of course, setting up such a venture in Athens airwaves was impossible, so we used technology. In what we call internet radio. The idea was very good and it took no time for much thought. Besides, music existed, equipment existed, so nothing could stop us. His name? Melodies Web Radio. Favorite melodies of yesterday and today with a foreign repertoire and small installments of beloved Greek artists. Slogan of our station "Best Melodies Songs are here". At the same time, he started collaborating with Q STUDIOS, which takes over Melodies jingles and sweepers radio spots. *15 May 2014. Moving to the new facilities in Kifissia. * 01 July 2014. Melodies Web Radio participates and wins the 2nd Easy Listening Awards among 58 European Internet radio stations in the Munich competition. * 08 January 2018. Melodies Web Radio goes into a new season. With slogans such as "New Year, New Sound" or "The Jazz Sound of Athens", Melodies changes music style and goes on new radio paths. A journey to music and its most important moments. From jazz and ambient to lounge and chilli through the exclusive music collaboration of Free Songs. At the same time, co-operation (beyond Q studios) with Music Radio Creative, based in London, for the creation of English-speaking radio spots is being launched, as the listeners mainly come from abroad. *10 January 2018. It is divided into 24-hour music bands from Monday to Sunday so the listener knows what he is listening to every moment.

What could be the reason there is no sound?

1. Make sure your speakers and the media player are not muted :) Not an uncommon problem ;)
2. Please try again in another browser, preferably Chrome, Firefox and when using a windows media player option Internet Explorer.
3. Try another stream type clicking: windows media player or external player as alternative
4. Be patient, some radiostations load within 10-20 seconds due to high traffic issues.
5. If you do not have any flash player we automatically load the second best player, so again be patient.
6. If the stream doesn't start automatically please click the play button or the mp3 option on the right, please retry 1,2 or 3 times. Most of the times this works.
7. If you are using a windows media player, this will mostly only work in Internet Explorer.
8. A radiostation might be temporarily unavailable due to several reasons. If your favorite station is not working right now, please try again in a few moments.
9. The media player isn't showing/working in your browser, check below what you can do about it
10. Try another computer or device (tablet, phone etc).
11. Some radiostations have limited rights for international broadcasting. Some stations only broadcast in their own country. For example BBC in the UK and lots of stations in the US. If you really want to listen use a proxy server from that specific country to solve this problem.

Stream keeps on buffering
In Windows Media Player you can improve this. Go to Extra, Options, and then tab performance to extend the netwerkbuffer to 15 seconds.
