History

February 2014 - station was born but not broadcasting. Facebook page created. May 23, 2014 - first song broadcast out of our original location in Pueblo, CO USA by way of the original stream host: Radionomy. There were only 50 indie artists & less than 100 songs at that time. September 2014 - after relocating to Ash Grove, MO BWNR began broadcasting from a small studio in the backyard of my mother's home. November 2014 - 1st phones apps released via Appypie. May 23, 2015 - celebrated 1 year on the air. There are now over 500 indie artists whose music has aired on the station with over 3000 songs. June 8, 2015 - BWNR co-hosted its first event in honor of the memory of our father - one of the inspirations behind the creation of the station as he and his band "The Country Wonders" had a 30 year career playing covers throughout the Midwest. September 25, 2015 - after over a year of outages and problems, BWNR moved its stream from Radionomy(Belgium-based) to SecureNet Systems (Florida USA-based). January 2016 - The "Small Webcasters Agreement of 2009" was allowed to expire as the major players tried to take more control of internet radio. Fortunately by raising the funds with the help of the fans & the bands, BWNR did not become a casualty and registered with Sound Exchange to legally keep broadcasting. May 23, 2016 - BWNR celebrates its end Anniversary. September 30, 2016 - BWNR hits the 8000 listener mark. Up until that point, the station had been averaging 850 listeners per month. October 31, 2016 - BWNR hits the 11,000 listener mark. November 30, 2016 - BWNR hits the 12,000 Listener mark. December 31, 2016 - BWNR hits a new high for the 4th month in a row with 13,000+ listeners! The future is looking bright!

What could be the reason there is no sound?

1. Make sure your speakers and the media player are not muted :) Not an uncommon problem ;)
2. Please try again in another browser, preferably Chrome, Firefox and when using a windows media player option Internet Explorer.
3. Try another stream type clicking: windows media player or external player as alternative
4. Be patient, some radiostations load within 10-20 seconds due to high traffic issues.
5. If you do not have any flash player we automatically load the second best player, so again be patient.
6. If the stream doesn't start automatically please click the play button or the mp3 option on the right, please retry 1,2 or 3 times. Most of the times this works.
7. If you are using a windows media player, this will mostly only work in Internet Explorer.
8. A radiostation might be temporarily unavailable due to several reasons. If your favorite station is not working right now, please try again in a few moments.
9. The media player isn't showing/working in your browser, check below what you can do about it
10. Try another computer or device (tablet, phone etc).
11. Some radiostations have limited rights for international broadcasting. Some stations only broadcast in their own country. For example BBC in the UK and lots of stations in the US. If you really want to listen use a proxy server from that specific country to solve this problem.
12. Report this issue using our Broken Link page or send an email to [email protected]. We are able to see if there is something wrong.

Why do I see a grey screen?

Probably this is caused by an popup adblocker

Stream keeps on buffering
In Windows Media Player you can improve this. Go to Extra, Options, and then tab performance to extend the netwerkbuffer to 15 seconds.
